Domaine La Taste Cotes de Gascogne ($12.99): This ‘tasty’ wine from Gascony is fresh, bright, and extremely food friendly while remaining very easy to drink on it’s own as well.  A blend of the Southern French grapes, Columbard, Gros Manseng, Sauvignon Blanc, and Ugni Blanc, you’ll find aromas of melon and pear lead into citrus, herbs and minerals with just a touch of honey.  A wine that calls out for you to drink more over and over again.

Montmassot Picpoul de Pinet ($11.99): This zippy white, made from Picpoul in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in Southern France, by the border of Spain and in close proximity to the Mediterranean Sea, is an ideal grape for the warm climate it is grown in.  It is lean and crisp with notes of green apple and citrus finishing with mouth-watering, refreshing minerality.  Shellfish and Picpoul anyone? Yes please!!!

Domaine Jeannin-Naltet Mercurey Vieilles Vignes ($26.99): This Mercurey proves there actually is good value in Burgundy.  Elegant and round, this medium-bodied Pinot Noir shows bright red fruit aromas.  The palate delivers a blend of dried cherry, and raspberry, with a touch of rustic earth.  The finish is round highlighting it’s easy drinking nature.

Château Roquebrune Lalande de Pomerol “Cuvée Reine” ($32.99): On the Right-Bank of Bordeaux where Merlot reigns supreme you’ll find Chateau Roquebrune.  With 95% Merlot and just a splash of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is ripe and juicy.  A perfumed nose leads into a full mouth-feel with plenty of dark berries and blackberry jam intermingling with a touch of tobacco and earth.
