Proud Pour Sauvignon Blanc ($19.99): This California Sauvignon Blanc, was made with oysters in mind.  It was meant to pair with oysters perfectly, but it is also a project to save oysters in the New York area.  It features aromas of peach and grapefruit.  The palate is bright and lean with notes of citrus leading into a crisp refreshing minerality.

Le Monde Friulano ($16.99): This wine from north-eastern Italy shows pears, peaches, and white flowers on the nose.  The palate is medium bodied with citrus and honeydew.  The finish is long, mineral and refreshing.  A great example of one of Fruili’s great grapes.

M. Chapoutier Cotes de Roussillon ($14.99): 91 Pts Robert Parker
A blend of syrah, grenache, and carignan from a master in the Rhone Valley, this full-bodied red offers all the notes of black pepper and raspberry, as well as additional richness from carignan. A great introduction to the wines of Roussillon.

Au Bon Climat Santa Barbera Pinot Noir ($23.99): Winemaker and owner Jim Clendenen, a pioneer who believed in the potential of CA’s Central Coast, has always favored precision over power, and nuance over extraction. These stylish pinot noirs are light-bodied, delicate, with aromas of red fruits, and meant to be shared with food.
