Bulleit 10 Year Bourbon ($55.99): The nose is toasty and oaky with creamy vanilla notes.  On the palate you’ll find lots of dried fruits (especially apricot) and more vanilla, but this time in spicy pod form. The finish is long and rich, with a whisper of smoke.

Johnnie Walker 18 year old Blended Whiskey ($79.99):  Johnnie Walker Aged 18 Years blends big, classic Johnnie Walker flavours with intriguing contemporary notes of citrus and fragrant almonds. Initially sweet with a warm vanilla undercurrent and a suggestion of tangerines, it moves smoothly over the palate into a nutty, malty dryness before a long finish brings elegant suggestions of soft charcoal smokiness and a beautifully fading citrus zest.

The clean, appetising nose shows subtle citrus fruit with just a puff of smoke. Firm and smooth, it begins sweetly then yields a fragrant smokiness and a sweet-smoky, lingering finish.
