Les Allies Provence Rosé ($12.99): Lovely soft pink tones and citrus on the nose with aromas of raspberry and wild strawberry. Fresh, rich and a pretty, structured finish. Perfectly suitable for year round consumption but this wine shines at the beach, the pool and for picnics in the park.
August Bonhomme La Forcine Sancerre ($19.99): A bold, finely balanced Sancerre. Its pale white fruit has an exotic side, bringing a hint of tropical lychee to the juicy green apple and tart lemon curd notes. It’s subtle, sophisticated and clean, a perfect accompaniment ot lighter fare, but delicious as an aperitif.
Mendoza Vineyards Malbec Gran Reserva ($21.99): 90 pts Wine Enthusiast
This Malbec is aged in both French and American oak barrels for 18 months. The Malbec shows a great core of cassis and blackberries, with extraordinarily well-integrated oak, vanilla and coffee notes.
Chateau Ribebon Bordeux Superieur ($15.99): 91 pts Wine Enthusiast
The wine, from one of the five Aubert family properties, is rich and full of great fruit. With ripe tannins and blackberry generosity over the wood aging, this is still structured yet ready to drink.
