Famille Hugel Pinot Blanc ‘Cuvée Les Amours’ ($14.99): From one of the most esteemed Domaine in Alsace, this Pinot Blanc is a benchmark for dry wine in the region. Medium-bodied and round, yet with a backbone of acidity, this white is extremely well-balanced and with aromas of white flowers and stone fruits.
Famille Hugel Gewurtztraminer ($24.99): Very young, lively color with pale green, straw yellow hints. Nicely bright and very clear. Frank, open bouquet, aromatic and perfumed, very floral and vinous, clean and fresh notes of fruit and spice, rose, mignonette, lily of the valley, mango, lychee, pineapple, saffron. Generous, yet dry on the palate, its freshness harmonizes well with its generous structure, nicely aromatic and flavorsome on the finish.
Big Basin ‘Homestead’ ($29.99): A blend from various cool climate vineyards throughout Santa Cruz and Monterey, this Rhone blend has incredible texture and finesse, with loads of black and red fruits on the nose, a rich palate, yet a refreshing, soft finish. One of the best new producers in California.
Hanging Vine Cabernet Sauvignon ($14.99): This California Cab is medium to full bodied. The grapes hail from various part of California. The blend of these choice vineyards makes a juicy wine with notes of cassis, blackberries and dark plums. The finish is round and smooth. Great value California Cabernet.
