Primaterra Primitivo ($12.99): Identical to Zinfandel, Primitivo offers much of the same pleasures as its American cousin, with notes of black fruits, soft tannins and round texture to make this a perfect wine for pizza or grilled sausage.
Diplomatico Anejo ($18.99): This Anejo rum drink well above it’s price point. Made in Venezuela from Molasses, it shows notes of brown sugar, coffee and baking spice on the nose. The palate is medium with notes of vanilla and mocha. This is an extremely well balanced rum for this price point.
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva ($37.99): A fabulous dark, golden rum aged for 12 years in whiskey barrels, this is rich, sweet and fruity and has won numerous awards world-wide. The nose delivers notes of caramel and cinnamon. The palate shows an intensity of the same flavors leading into a rich and smooth finish.
Don Papa Small Batch Rum ($36.99): This aged rum from the Philippines is made in small batches. It is made from molasses as opposed to pure sugar cane giving it a richer texture. It has honey and vanilla aromas. The palate is mellow with a rich texture and notes of banana and a orange peel. The finish is smooth and sweet making this a great sipping rum.
