Thursday’s laid-back tasting features four fun, summery wines that exemplify the days and nights of our favorite season to sip. Whether you are looking for the perfect frosty white or rose wine for a day at the beach or a more intense red wine to go along with the smoky char of a summer BBQ, we have just the juice for you. A friendly rose, crisp Italian white, lighter red and a beautiful structured Cabernet Sauvignon are all on offer during our free tasting Thursday night.
Black Box Rose ($5.99): With the warm weather finally here, thoughts are inevitably turning towards park and beach outings. No wine is more suited for everything from a picnic in the park to a night at the beach. Fresh, food friendly and eminently portable, this rose has gorgeous fruit, a bright finish and an affordable price tag that will make it this summer’s best accessory, because black goes with everything.
Simi Cabernet Sauvignon ($24.99): Deep, dark and garnet color, with beautiful, ethereal aromas of bright currant and cherry, blackberry, and plum. Rich flavors of cherry and ripe plum along with a hint of black pepper add life to this full-bodied-yet-silky wine that finishes with soft, velvety mocha latte and a bit of peppery cassis.
Sella & Mosca Vermentino ($11.99): Pale straw with bright flecks of lemon- green. Very intense aromas with notes of citrus and jasmine. Summery and light with delightful floral aromatics persisting through the fresh and lively palate. Crisp and dry with youthful vitality and freshness.
Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva ($15.99): Initially dark, ruby red, during maturation it loses intensity and takes on a warmer tone. Mesmerizing scent, redolent of freshly tilled earth and violets. Warm, dry, and harmonious with plummy fruit flavors and an aristocratic oak overtone that finishes and balances the fruity generosity of the palate.
