Marco Porello Roero Arneis Camestri ($14.99): Aromas of blossom and citrus abound upon the nose. It is refreshing on the palate, with balanced acidity and flavors of lime, citrus and green apples. It is beautifully balanced and has an elegant mineral finish. The lightness and refreshing quality make it an ideal wine to drink on its own but also a great fish and seafood match.

Secateurs Badenhorst Red Blend ($16.99): The aromas are exquisitely perfumed, peppery, spicy, smokey and exhibit ripe, luscious red fruit notes. As always the palate texture of this style of wine is supple, smooth on the entry but with enough grip to end dry with length. In the mouth the texture and fineness of fruit, tannin and drinkability of the wine is immediately evident. A fantastic value with serious chops.

Casa Ferreirinha Esteva Douro ($9.99) Casa Ferreirinha Esteva Red is a ruby-coloured wine with an intense and harmonious bouquet, rich in ripe red berries, floral notes and oaky aromas (cedar and cigar box). A soft attack on the palate reveals a fine structure with well-integrated tannins, red berries and a hint of pepper. The wine’s acidity is well integrated and an elegant finish.

Li Veli Passamente Salice Salento ($14.99) Dense ruby red with a purplish rim, it is immediately intense on the nose with marked aromas of ripe and fleshy red fruits, notably cherries followed by spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg; in the mouth it is full, powerful, smooth and very long, with a well defined backbone which helps make it fresh and pleasing and a great companion to food.
