Chateau Peyros Madiran Vieilles Vignes ($18.99): This inky blend of 80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet Franc is a wine that is both dense and smooth, yet elegant and Old-World. On the generous nose and rich palate, ripe black fruits dominate, with an almost meaty undertone, supported by a dry, solid structure from the Tannat.
