Bernard Defaix Les Hauts de Milly Rully Blanc 1er Cru ($29.99): Available in the U.S. for the first time in 20 years, the brand’s history goes back to the 1870s. Awarded the Gold Medal in 1893 at Chicago’s World Fair, not much has changed for this historic distillery. With notes of sweet corn, oak, vanilla, caramel and raisins, the finish is luxurious and gentle.
Domaine J Boulon Morgon ($16.99): This Cru Beaujolais from Morgon, the second largest of the Crus, is 100% Gamay. It’s full of ripe red fruit and broad tannins. This will age for 5 to 10 years, and is an amazing value Cru Beaujolais.
