Champalou Vouvray Brut ($21.99):  A blend of three different vintages of chenin blanc, this dry bubbly has slightly less effervescence than Champagne, with generous aromas of stone fruits, white flowers, and a bit of honey, making it an easy drinking aperitif or even easier pairing with shellfish.

Nicolas Joly Savennieres Les Vieux Clos ($42.99): Joly’s golden-yellow 2014 Savennières Les Vieux Clos is pure and elegant on the herbal and flinty nose, where spicy lemon/lemon grass and ripe, concentrated fruit aromas are displayed. Very well defined! On the palate, the 14.5% alcohol comes along in perfect balance: very elegant and finesse-full. since the powerful body is lifted by a piquant acidity, a lovely transparency and finesse, and finally escorted by a dense and lush fruit texture. The finish is very precise, fresh and aromatic, but also full of elegance, salt and stimulation.

Chateau de Breze Clos Mazurique Saumur ($20.99):  This elegant example of Loire Cabernet Franc is aged in stainless steel vats giving it a bright freshness not often found in Loire red wines.  Aromas of dark cherries and fresh flowers arise from your glass.  The palate shows bright red fruits mingling with the expected earthy tones of Loire reds.

Lucien Crochet Sancerre Rouge La Croix du Roy ($29.99):  Lucien Crochet has long been a top producer in the Loire.  While most of his planting are Sauvignon Blanc, a small parcel of Pinot Noir makes one of the most expressive wines in the region.  Rustic in style, with bright red fruit and an appealing herbaceous quality.  This is a gem that should be tried by every Pinot Noir lover.
