Bera Brachetto 2015 Piedmont ($21.99): The dark sibling to Moscato d’Asti, Brachetto from Piedmont is slightly fizzy and slighty off-dry, great as an aperitif or an easy, light-bodied pairing with fruit or cheese. Its aromas of pomegranates and ripe strawberries make this a great pairing for chocolate as well.
Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Marlborough ($17.99): With an intense, richer style, the Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc has aromas of passionfruit, elderflower, and honeydew, with bright acidity and a round palate. A great pairing for shellfish or ceviche.
Jim Barry Shiraz “The Lodge Hill” 2012, Clare Valley ($21.99): Located at one of the highest points in the cooler region of Clare Valley, this shiraz has wonderful aromatics of dark fruits and herbs, yet with a restrained palate that is medium-bodied with good balance.
Hall Merlot 2013, Napa Valley ($34.95): This full-bodied merlot from Kathryn Hall represents what Napa does so well, especially in this top vintage. Rich aromas of chocolates, roses, and dark fruits precede the generous palate and long finish.
