Lucien Crochet has long been a top producer in the Loire. While most of his planting are Sauvignon Blanc, a small parcel of Pinot Noir makes one of the most expressive wines in the region. On the nose, dark chocolate and tobacco notes on opening. When oxygenated, subtle aromas of red fruit (raspberry) and black berry appear, accompanied by a hint of pepper. A rich and complex scent that oscillates between these different aromas. The palate is smooth and rich with flavors of red fruit and spices, velvety texture provided by soft and deep tannins.
