80% sangiovese and the remainder Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, this is one of the original Super Tuscans that influenced the course of winemaking in the Chianti region as the first wine to be aged in small, French barriques. You’ll find aromas of currants and roses.  It is medium-bodied, with complex notes of cherries, leather and earth.  The finish displays silky tannins and a lingering balanced earthiness.
