On the nose, torrents of tarry ropes, creosote and linseed oil. Rich, full mouthfeel with spicy pepper, smoked meat, espresso, dark fruits, treacle and star anise notes. The finish is long and powerful with black tarry coffee, chocolate coated cherries and hot pepper sauce.

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is named after Europe’s largest, and the world’s second largest whirlpool which lies beside the Hebridean Isles of Islay and Jura, off the West Coast of Scotland. Celebrated in Celtic mystery and legend, its raw, magnetic power exactly mirrors the big and untamed spirit of Ardbeg – the peatiest, smokiest and most complex of all Islay whiskies. The incredibly intense, spicy, tarry depths resulting from the French Oak influence is perfectly balanced with the addition of ‘classic’ Ardbeg.
